The tambourine is a large category of drums and a percussion instrument. Different appellation of various nationalities, the method of making a difference, the most typical Uighur da Bu. Many countries in the Middle East and Central Asia have their own hand drums.


The "Da Bu" is Uygur, Uzbek, Tajik and other family tambourine, popular in Xinjiang. Uyghur language is called "Nagmandab" or "Da Bu". Drum body flat round or octagonal type, one-sided Mongolian sheepskin or donkey skin, surrounded by a number of copper or iron small bronze cymbals, hence the name. 20-50 cm in diameter. Long history, four to Sixth century Dunhuang Northern Wei dynasty murals have already appeared.
